Waukesha GuitarTown Project has just received word the 10’ foot tall fiberglass Gibson Les Paul model guitars are scheduled to be delivered on Wednesday, April 3rd at appropriately 11am.
The guitars will be delivered to:

Estimated time of arrival is 11am on Wednesday.
The 10-foot tall, fiberglass guitars will be painted by local artist and will be displayed as part of the Waukesha Gibson Guitar Project. This year the project will have 15 ten-foot fiberglass guitars added to the 10 already completed guitars on display bring the total to 25 guitars, which are featured on the Downtown Waukesha’s Guitar Walking Tour Pick.
Professional Artist that were announced at our GuitarTown Artist Reception will be on hand to pick-up their large guitars. Along with student from La Casa De Esperanza, who are excited and anticipating being a part of GuitarTown new educational portion of Waukesha’s GuitarTown 2013.
Gibson Guitar Corporation has chosen Waukesha, the birth and resting place of Les Paul, inventor of the solid body electric guitar, for an encore of its nationally acclaimed GuitarTown public arts project.
Waukesha GuitarTown 2013 will build on the momentum of last year and will continue to unite Waukesha area business and cultural communities. This year we are also building an educational component in to our Waukesha GuitarTown Project 2013. Students from Waukesha School District from North and West High School, Central Middle School and La Casa De Esperanza will paint a 10-foot tall guitars as part of our encore project, along with students from Butler Middle School who are paint 3 playable guitars.
The Waukesha GuitarTown Committee is excited about this project and is continuing planning for the unveiling of the Guitars on June 6th private reception, and June 7th opening of Waukesha’s Summer Music series called Waukesha Freeman’s Friday Night Live season which will feature 7 stages of live music every Friday Night from June until October.
Summer Guitar Locations Begins
Just yesterday, April 1st the 10-foot fiberglass guitars from last years project were again put back on public display at the their summer locations featured on the Walking Tour Guitar Pick. A copy of the guitar pick is available here along with other information on this great Waukesha Project.
