The WallDogs have just finished an extensive project located in Kewanee, IL, during the weekend of July 10-14th.  Go to Kewaneewalldogs.com to see how over 200 artists painted 15 murals that weekend. The WallDogs will be working alongside some of Waukesha’s talented artists who will be painting some of the Welcome to Waukesha murals that are part of our project.

These murals will join the five already completed murals that focus on the life of Les Paul that were done during the weekend of June 6-9 as part of the launch of this year’s Waukesha GuitarTown and Waukesha Friday Night Live event (Waukeshafreemanfridaynightlive.com). The additional murals will bring the total to 19 murals in downtown Waukesha, revealing the rich history of the city as related to its business partners.

The mural painting will be included as part of other weekend activities. First, Waukesha Freeman’s Friday Night Live on August 2nd from 6:30 – 9 PM will offer 9 stages of live music that can be enjoyed while the mural painters are at work.  Second, on Saturday the painting will continue and will be featured during the West End Artists’  77th Art Crawl from 4 – 10 PM when all art galleries, shops and restaurants will be waiting to serve you.

Waukesha GuitarTown 2013 builds on the momentum of last year and will continue to unite area businesses with the community in an effort to celebrate its cultural contributions.  It is an initiative that aims to help Waukesha achieve the goal of becoming the best small city in the United States.

A recently launched website called LiveLoveWaukesha.com is the central hub where all information and websites are linked so people can find out information about Downtown Waukesha events.
